Board of Commissioners of Trust Funds
Minutes of the May 9, 2013 Meeting

Present:  William P. Goreham, Raymond Vaillancourt, Thaddeus Buczko and Sumner Jones

The meeting was called to order at 5:30 PM in the Mayor’s office, City Hall.

The Salem Council on Aging submitted a request for reimbursement for medication expenses.  Raymond Vaillancourt made a motion to approve $256.81 from the Endicott Fund for payment.  The motion was seconded by William P. Goreham and voted unanimously.

Thaddeus Buczko made a motion to approve the minutes of the April 11, 2013 meeting.
The motion was seconded by Sumner Jones and voted unanimously.

The annual awards for Salem High School were distributed in May.

Several Fiscal Year 2014 Large Grant Applicants presented their needs to the Board.
Additional presentations will be given at the June and July meetings.
The Board will table any decisions for funding until all the year end data is completed by the bank and available funds for FY13 are  ready for review.

Attending:

The Salem Pharmonics Orchestra – presents four free concerts per year  - Browne Discretionary Funding - $5,500

Women’s Friend Socieity – fuel for working women of Salem –Towne Fund - $4,500.00

Brookhouse Home for Women – reimbursement for over the counter medication expenses for Salem women – Endicott Fund - $5,000

Life Bridge – Homeless prevention, food – no amount requested, last year $2,500 –
General Asst. funds   


Salem State University – Darwin Science Festival – Read Lecture Funds - $2,500

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at  6:35 PM.
